Ray Reid is the trombone player, lead vocalist, and co-producer of the legendary band “Crown Heights Affair”, with such hits as “Dreamin A Dream”, “Every Beat Of My Heart”, “Dancin” and “You Gave Me Love”, just for example.

Ray Reid is considered to be one of the forefathers of dance music and is recognized for radio hits like “Gonna Get Over You” featuring France Joli, “Dyin To Be Dancin” by Empress, “ I Hear Music In The Street” and “Searchin To Find The One” by Unlimited Touch on Prelude records .

Ray Reid played a big role in the development of dance music and is highly regarded in the music recording industry for the contributions he has made while playing different roles in various music studios. Ray Reid has worked as a composer, arranger, and instrumentalist (drums, trombone, percussions and keyboards) for such artists as Taana Gardner, Carol Douglass, Gwen McCrae, Enchantment, Ammi Stewart, Crown Heights Affair, The Family Stand, Denroy Morgan, Freedom Williams, and many more.
